At Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church we have many ways you can give back to the community and around the world. We participate in many mission projects throughout the year that benefit not only the surrounding communities but also many countries around the world.
Mission Committee is responsible for recommendations to the Session for the distribution of benevolence. Five percent of every dollar that comes into treasury of the Church goes toward Missions. The Mission Committee is also charged with the development, planning and implementation of “hands on” mission projects to increase our congregation’s participation in mission opportunities. Mission programs supported through Mission Committee are: Alternative for Girls, American Indian Services, Baby Shower for the World, Blanket Sunday, Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS), Christmas Family, Church World Service, Crop Walk, Freedom House, One Great Hour of Sharing, Pilgrims of Ibillin, Presbyterian Peacemaking Program, Salvation Army, Second Mile Center, The Information Center, The Menaul School, The Open Door at Fort St. Presbyterian, 2˘ a Meal for Hunger Relief, USO, World Medical Relief, Presbytery, Synod, General Assembly causes distributed through the Presbytery.
Christian Education Committee is responsible for providing opportunities for spiritual growth through Christian Education to all age groups within the church. It recruits ad trains Sunday School teachers and oversees Sunday School programs for both adult and children. It also resources and supervises Summer Sunday School and
