Director of Music and Pianist
Wendy is a 1986 graduate of Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.
She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance. Her first professional
job (in 1998) was playing keyboard in an accordion orchestra, and she still plays
for about 200 weddings a year at the Little Wedding Chapel. She is the official
conference pianist at the annual Rotary District 6400 conference. She also accompanies
voice students who are competing in the American Guild of Musicians every year,
as well as judging piano at local level teenagers competing for “Talents for Christ”
contest. She also plays at receptions and parties.
LPPC is Wendy’s first choir director position, but she has been an accompanist for a long time.
She started in junior high for the teen choir at church, then in senior high for the school choir.
She traveled to churches with her father, who gave choral workshops while she accompanied him
on the piano. She also played for the Taylor Community Chorus for a few years as well as a few other church choirs.

Custodian
Marilee has been working for LPPC since 2000. She has also been working at Ecorse Presbyterian (EPC) since 1998.
Marilee was a waitress at Fergie’s Fish and Chips until 1998 when she began taking care of her handicapped dwarf
niece (Arline Devoy somewhat well known in the area). She was working at EPC 10-12 hours a week at that time
and knew Marilyn Higgins who told her about LPPC needing a custodian. Marilee has been married to George for
26 years, has two adult daughters, Jessica and Keri and 3 grandchildren. Alanna is 5, Nathan is 4 and Kyle is 1.
While she no longer takes care of Arline, she does babysit every day for her grandchildren as well as her other duties
with the two churches, 1 day a week she cleans at Dearborn Family Pet Care, cleans a doctors house 1 day a week
and cleans for and transports and elderly woman 2 days a week. She enjoys working for the churches and doing the
other cleaning because it allows her to set her own hours most of the time and her grandchildren can go to work with her.
